I recently tried the BigAlex Alloy Folding Cane with Seat, and overall, it’s a very practical and thoughtful design for seniors or anyone needing occasional support.The cane is lightweight yet sturdy, thanks to its alloy construction. It feels stable while walking and doesn’t add unnecessary strain. The adjustable height is a great feature, making it suitable for different users.One of the standout features is the built-in seat. It unfolds easily and provides a convenient place to rest when you’re out for a walk, waiting in line, or traveling. While it’s not meant for long sitting periods, it’s definitely strong enough for short breaks.The anti-slip base adds extra safety, especially on smooth or slightly wet surfaces. Stability, Comfort, and Safety All in One
I was initially hesitant about buying the Alloy Folding Cane with Seat, but it has completely transformed my mom’s daily mobility. I thought combining a seat and a cane might make it heavy or awkward, but I was wrong—it’s incredibly lightweight and easy to handle, which is a huge plus for reducing wrist and shoulder strain. The combination of features here is unbeatable. The adjustable height allows for a perfect fit, and the way the seat folds out quickly and securely provides a stable place to rest whenever it is needed. As a cane, the alloy material feels sturdy, and the anti-slip feet provide phenomenal traction on all surfaces, greatly boosting my confidence. The integrated LED light is a brilliant safety addition, illuminating the path in dark areas and preventing trips. This is a great value at this price.

Sturdy & light weight
I ordered this to take on a tour in Europe with long periods of walking and standing on all sorts of terrain. Its small, light weight and seems like it will do the job quite well. Arrived quickly.

Wish I’d got 2 so I could have one also
I got this for my wife to have during a trip to a theme park. It worked really well for her and honestly made me wish I’d got me one. Standing for a long time in lines gets to me after a while and this would’ve made it more bearable. It’s really easy to use and folds and unfolds quickly for when it’s time to get up and move 10ft. For it being as light weight as it is, it’s really sturdy and holds me being close to 200lbs with no problems. You do have to keep in mind that it is designed and intended for you to sit facing the handle/cane part. Not the other way around. Balance never seemed to be an issue with it while sitting long as it’s used properly. It is adjusted to the shortest position for my wife but it still was ok for either of us even with her being 5ft and me 5ft 10. I like it and will get me one for myself before our next trip.

Great Cane Seat
This cane seat is perfect for my needs. it was easy to put together and is sturdy when sitting. The weight is light and though a bit awkward to use as a cane (any of these would be ) it works for me!

Weight Capacity means nothing if you don’t fit
I’m a little under 400 and thought it would be nice to have a place to sit always with me. Issue being as a person of size, when you attempt to straddle the bar and sit .. the seat isn’t actually under you and you fall on your but, the cane folds violently closed and hits your ball sack from behind on the way down.Other complaints, it is not labeled it takes 2 AA batteries for the light although fairly obvious. In the folded walking mode it has two feet sticking out to the side which is ok for walking but would be problematic on stairs if that is necessary.Great concept, failed test case.

Nice combo cane/seat but not for me now.
Nice cane/seat combo but I didn’t feel secure in the seat. In the meantime I decided I didn’t need this for a European trip and will return it. I recently had knee replacement so thought I would need it but that’s not the case now.

Sturdy, not heavy, and foldable into a suitcase
This product stands out from the others I reviewed on Amazon. I just took it on a two week trip to Europe with its cobblestone streets, stairs without railings, etc. and found it very useful. My wife is mobility challenged, and she found the ability to sit down and rest anywhere we were walking to be a great benefit. I carried this cane and my wife carried a regular cane. I found the Big Alex very light to carry. It is a big awkward simply because it has three legs instead of one, but otherwise, I really liked its utility. My wife never worried about its stability as she sat down. I especially liked the fact that the cane folds and the legs are removable, making it quite easy to pack in a suitcase so that we did not have to find room in the aircraft overhead compartments. I didn’t find another cane/chair on Amazon that had these features. Chair is comfortable for short periods. If you are going to use it frequently, you might look for a removable cushion for it. One problem with the cane/chair is the light in the handle. I dropped the cane a couple of times on the pavement and each time a portion of the light popped out and scattered the batteries. I ended up just removing those portions of the light for the rest of the trip. In short, we found the cane/chair easily portable, very stable, and easy to pack in a suitcase. If those qualities are important to you, then I recommend this product highly. If you need a light a night, then I would not count on this part of the functionality to last too many crashes on the pavement. Also, in a restaurant or other close quarters, the cane/chair is a bit awkward and not easily stowable.
