Comfortable, inexpensive swim goggles.
After using speedo goggles exclusively, I tried a set of Tyr goggles. This is the third Tyr I’ve bought. The other two I have are smoked for sun protection, but I wanted a clear pair for better vision for indoor pool use. I found all three pairs to be more comfortable than the speedo goggles, and I especially recommend the Racetech because it has the adjustable nose piece. I found that the soft, flexible eye gaskets create a good, comfortable “suction” fit to my eye sockets without the need for a very tight headband. If you get these, try a looser fit on the headband (just snug but not really tight) and I think you will be surprised how comfortable they can be. Everyone’s face is different, but these work great for me and they are inexpensive. The anti-fog feature seems to work well.

Easy fitting, seal well and last long!
Great goggles that fit almost everyone. They fit onto the boney edge of the eye orbit comfortably and keep the water out, unless of course you take them off in the water. If you just leave them on your eyes will stay dry.I’ve worn these TYR goggles for probably 25 years. This is the first new pair in maybe 20 years. I purchased a TYR goggle repair kit again (strap, clips and nose piece) for my old pair but decided to get this new pair too. The old ones have really scratched lenses but I didn’t really “need” the new ones. Kind of a splurge for a frugal shopper.

DON’T BUY THESE GOGGLES!!!
Don’t buy these goggles, don’t buy these goggles, DON’T BUY THESE GOGGLES!!!If I could leave less than one star I would. I bought these goggles even AFTER I read some pretty negative reviews. I should have paid more attention. This was a TOTAL waste of time and money.I took the goggles out of the package and put them into my gym bag. I set the bridge piece and the strap. Oh by the way, if you use a Swim P3 player, it won’t stay on because the strap is too thin. It looks like it came from some Indonesian rubber band factory. If I were able to use the goggles I suspect the strap would last about 30 days before it broke. What a piece of JUNK!But I was, after some time, able to get the goggles and the Swim P3 player all together on my head. BUT THE LEFT SIDE KEPT LEAKING. I readjusted and readjusted but still couldn’t stop the leak. It wasn’t until I got to my car and put my reading glasses on that I saw that the left gasket near my nose was torn. It came out of the package that way but I didn’t see it.DON’T BUY THESE GOGGLES!!!

Was a gift…
Bought it for my parents because they swim a lot and mom said she wanted it.Mom was happy to get it, dad less so.Kind of hard to review since I haven’t tried it myself, and they aren’t saying.Quality seemed fine from what I could tell looking at it.Didn’t look cheap, didn’t look expensive.

Great seal, comfortable swimming goggles
I’ve used this model goggle for 15 years. They last over 5 years if you replace the straps occasionally (package of 3 replacements available most places) and keep them rinsed after use to get the chlorine off. The straps do degrade more rapidly than the goggles, but still last almost a year when used 3hours per week. And the silicone gasket around the eyes is the most comfortable I’ve ever found. It block leakage perfectly IF PROPERLY ADJUSTED. Users should be aware that the nose bridge is the most important thing to adjust. Too wide or too narrow and the goggles will not seat or seal around the user’s eye sockets. Experiment. You’ll eventually find the sweet spot.

They keep water out of your eyes, mostly. What else do you need?
I’ve worn this exact same model of TYR goggles for nearly 30 years. They’re more comfortable around the eyes than the “swedes” or non-padded goggles preferred by many people. I never liked those, so I’ve mostly stuck with these since early childhood swim team days. A different TYR model I had for a few years finally snapped on me a few weeks back, so I had to order some more.Sure, they melt and snap and wear out after too much sunlight or being left in a hot car or just from being used, same as any other goggles …Mine I ordered last week arrived w/the strap already slightly pockmarked, so I wonder how long they’ll last. If they don’t make it at least a few years then something’s definitely changed. … I’ve had pairs of these last for years on end. They’ve changed up the design a little bit, removing the logo from the sides, and not leaving quite as much strap for adjustments as they used to have. But the fit is still pretty much the same. Good for a spare pare to throw in a bag, and nice that they come in clear, black, blue, etc if you want to adjust for swimming indoors or outside. If you dive or do diving starts from blocks, they do tend to come off a bit more than some other models, but I haven’t done that in 20 years so I don’t mind so much.

Best Goggles for the Price
I’ve been competing in triathlon since 1995. I’ve tried a variety of goggles over the years, and being a money conscious person, I’m not willing to spend an arm and a leg on goggles. The TYR Racetech goggle has been my go-to goggle for good reasons: They fit my face well, they do not leak, they last as long as any other goggle, and they are reasonably priced. Another nice feature these goggles offer is that they come in a variety of colors/tints. I have the smoke for sunny days, but the blue work well for varied lighting conditions (pool included), and the clear are nice for pool or low light conditions as well. If you are on the fence, lean toward the TYR Racetech goggles and give them a go. If you like them, you probably won’t go back. If you don’t like them, well, you didn’t spend a ton to give them a try.

I use TYR Racetech goggles. I’ve been fortunate, in the past, to have every make of goggles sent to me for testing. TYR Racetech are the only goggles that never leak or fog. They are comfortable to wear and extremely clear. During a 5,000m session they never need adjusting, never leak and never mist.

These are much better than I expected. The anti-fog works very well and is still very effective. I’ve been very impressed with how leak-proof it is. The vision is very clear; super clear. I can see so clearly in the water and it really makes my swims more enjoyable. These are my favourite goggles of all the ones I have. I’ll get this again in the future. I’ll be looking for similar ones that are tinted for outdoor swims.

Fits my face perfectly . The elastic band though doesn’t last very long.
