Fantastic Value and a Great Seal—Perfect for Quick Dips
As an Amazon Vine Voice member, I’m always looking for affordable gear that performs well enough for casual use without a high price tag. This 2-pack of MAMBAOUT Swim Goggles is an incredible deal at just $8—that’s only $4 a pair! While they have a couple of ergonomic quirks, the functional performance is impressive for the price.Performance and Features (The Pros):These goggles hit all the marks for basic functionality.Excellent Seal: The most important part of any goggle is the seal, and these have been great. I haven’t experienced any water leakage during my swims.Rear Clasp Design: This is a standout feature. The rear clasp makes them much easier to put on and take off compared to traditional “stretch-over” straps. Once they are on, the straps stay tight and secure.Outdoor Visibility: The black tinted lenses are perfect for outdoor swimming, providing great protection against glare. The clear lenses in the second pair are a nice alternative for indoor use.Anti-Fog: So far, they have remained clear and haven’t fogged up on me yet.The 4-Star Drawback: Comfort and Fit:The reason I’m giving these 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to comfort during extended use.Nose and Eye Pressure: I found these to be a bit uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose. Additionally, after a longer swim, the area around my eyes started to hurt a little bit. It’s hard to say if this is purely a design issue or just the way they interact with my face shape, but my other goggles don’t typically cause this level of soreness. Because of this, I’ll likely stick to using these for shorter swims or general playtime rather than long-distance training sessions.Value:At $4 per pair, the value is unbeatable. Even if these only lasted a single summer season, they would still be worth the investment. It’s great to have a backup pair on hand for guests or as a spare in the gym bag.Conclusion:If you need an inexpensive, reliable pair of goggles that won’t leak and are easy to put on, these are a great choice. They are high-quality for the price and the tinted lenses are a big plus for outdoor use. As long as you aren’t planning on wearing them for hours at a time, they are a worthwhile purchase! 4 out of 5 stars.
