Great ingredients and texture; not a fan of the sweeteners
This would be a really great product if they had omitted the sweeteners – neither stevia nor monk fruit resonant with me; stevia, in particular has that super-sweet, artificial flavor. I wish that manufacturers would omit the sweetener entirely so that I can choose my type and degree of sweetness (zero in my case!). Because of the overwhelming sweetness, I use about 1/2 tablespoon with my breakfast each morning, rather than the recommended approximately 2 tablespoons.So far it has been working well for me and I have no adverse effects from this formulation. My husband uses a different brand, but I found after a few weeks that I simply did not feel as chipper as I should be and worked out that his collagen formula (even in small doses) does not pair well with my system, so I was very happy to discover Ballerina.If I ignore the sweetness, I have to concede that they make a nice product that dissolves well with a creamy texture. I was sent the Strawberry flavor, but will be trying out the Chocolate the next time I order (unfortunately every one of the flavors has stevia and monk fruit). All the ingredients looks clean and no artificial flavorings have been used. This protein tastes great and mixes very well. I also love the packaging; the closure is like a Velcro type closure instead of a ziplock or pinch close type so it actually stays shut easily. Would definitely purchase again!
