I am thrilled to finally own an Osprey Brand hydration backpack. This is super superior quality and perfect in every way. I chose the teal and in the 20L Sportlite Hydraulics pack that actually has the water bladder that comes with it. Upon trying it on, it feels super light, the back is ergonomically designed for air flow. As are the straps. The back feels very structured and flat like. It fits perfectly on the upper part of the back as to allow for carrying weight up and not hurting the back carrying it low. This is like a huge hiking bag must and if you know you know! The bag itself weighs 1.6lbs. Nice and light weight yet super durable and strong. Storage capacity is great and we can fit our hiking gear for a day or two inside well. The sides of the bag have two very deep and wide pockets that are open and can be easily accessed. One can fit a foldable chair, more water bottles, a lightweight sleeping bag or other item on each side. There are bag clips and straps on each side for securing inside items in nice and compact and help support the bag if it is packed to capacity. These straps can double as holding hiking sticks (as well as the loops on the straps) clipping extra shoes onto, securing a small hiking stool, a towel perhaps. This bag is well worth the price point now that I’ve gotten to actually see up close how beautiful well made and rugged it truly is. There’s a zippered pocket as well as an open pocket featured on the back side. I put my weather proof blanket and my small first aid kits inside. Every zipper has a pull that’s able to have items clipped to it. Keys, a extra pouch, extra supplies that you might want easy access to. Now let me tell you about the hydration system. It is located inside the main compartment and it has an easy to release/attach tab at the very top that keeps your water bladder up right and secure. The hose feeds through the top and then down the strap as it has small straps to hold it securely and then down to where it’s needed and easily grabbed when thirsty. It has an angled mouth piece and an easy on/ off switch that you can use and do with one hand. (Great when biking!) I also really noticed the quality they put into even the buckles in this bag. The one on the chest is unique and it uncles just by lifting it. Super easy and fast. The others are easy as well but made very strong and if nice hard quality plastic so I don’t think any will ever snap or break like cheaper quality bags have in my past. The handle on the top of the bag is a must and it’s useful for taking your pack on and off. The hydration pack itself is super durable and has a strong ziplock style open and close feature with a clip on top for extra security. This bag slips down into its own pocket for even more protection. This pocket is similar to a laptop sleeve I would say. It’s padded between your back and this so super comfortable. I RECOMMEND THIS 100%! I can’t say enough about this super awesome hiking bag. I will get good use out of it for many years, hiking, camping, biking, beach, and so much more. This bag has a warranty on the tag. I’m a true Osprey fan after receiving this! A positively fantastic hiking bag! 100 stars!

Another Great Osprey Product
I have used Osprey products for years and have been very happy with them. I have a larger osprey backpack, but needed to replace my hydration pack. This backpack is 20 L and is a great size for my daily hikes. It comes with the backpack and a hydration bladder. My other Osprey backpack is a few years old and I can already see some improvements that they have made. The bottle holders on the side are now made of a stretchier fabric and hold the water bottle in much more tightly. They also changed the chest strap, so it closes with a magnet instead of with a clip, and that same magnet connects to the bite valve of the hydration pack. The backpack itself has a large open compartment in the front, which is perfect for putting my hat, my dogs, water dish, and other things I need to get to quickly. There’s also a small zipper pouch, which is great for my hand sanitizer and other small items. The main compartment has a big pocket and then an elastic pouch for the hydration bladder. I hike every day with my dog and like to take a pack with me, but I don’t want anything too big . This is a great size to hold my water, my dog’s leash and an extra jacket or anything else I might need on the hike. It also has enough room if I go on a slightly longer hike and need to take my lunch with me. I also hike with 10 pounds worth of weights for some extra strength training and this holds them really well.I really like the straps and the feel of the pack. It feels more solid than my previous hydration pack and it holds the weight very well. Because I hike with extra weight I really need comfortable straps and these don’t dig into my shoulders at all when I’m hiking. I also like the air scape insert that goes up against your back. It makes it a lot more comfortable when I’m sweating a lot.I’m less happy with the hydration bladder that it includes but I figure having an extra hydration bladder is just a perk. My other osprey hydration pack has a bite valve and water tube that clicks off at the top so it’s easy to fill the bladder without having to unthread and remove the whole bite valve and tube. This one is definitely flimsy but fits well in the pack and connects with a hook that’s in the pack. It closes securely at the top and doesn’t leak. I really like this kind of closure for a hydration pack because it’s easy to fill, but also easy to close.I also found that it was difficult to connect the magnet on the bite valve to the connector on the chest strap. The bite valve was in the wrong position, and I had to turn it around. I still have to figure out how to turn the magnet so that it clips easily.I got this in blue and I really like the color and design these Osprey packs will last you for a really long time. I am really happy with this.

Great daypack, extremely well made, with drinking bladder – Highly recommend
I have had an Osprey Daylight Plus daypack for several years, and it is my go-to carrier for short hikes and as my airplane carry-on. So when this Osprey Sportlite daypack with Hydraulics reservior (2.5L) came out, I jumped at the opportunity to own one. It is a well-thought-out 20L daypack, very lightweight (only 1.6 lbs), with a light stiffening frame and mesh fabric where it sits against my back; this allows air circulation. It has a waist strap and adjustable/sliding chest strap to provide the most comfortable fit for any hiker’s size. The chest straps have foam padding with mesh fabric, again to allow for air circulation. The main pocket is full-length (about 20″x10″x 6″ deep), with the hydraulics bladder stowed in an elastic back pocket. If you don’t need the water bladder, it is easily removed, and this pocket can also hold a laptop computer securely. There are two mesh pockets (for water bottles) with elastic on the top, and a zippered 1/4 pocket on the front. An open-top, elastic sided pocket with adjustable straps allows for ready-access items to be secured at the front of the pack. There are many closed loops to attach caribiners or other items, and each zipper has a molded plastic finger catch for ease of closing the pockets. One last feature – the ripstop nylon fabric in the main body is made of recycled ocean-sourced nylon!I’m very impressed with the features of this day pack, and I know I’ll have many years of use.I highly recommend this Osprey Backpack.
