    I got this as the gift for my mum because she likes to do little journalling every single day. She does this as part of her mindfulness and gratitude work. So this gift is like giving a small bit of thoughtful time. She loved the book and commented that she found the paper was really lux quality. The hardback was really well-made and it makes her bedside table look pretty because it’s a nice book. The only thing is is that the reflections are exactly the same every single day so it gets a bit monotonous. other than that having the little quotes in between and the recaps are really useful so I would definitely get this again as a gift. It is possibly a tad on the expensive side so I’m not too sure the value of that.

    I’m a stationery addict and love journalling, but need support to help me focus on being/ staying well. This journal seemed made for me, and I was keen to try it out.I think there’s loads of great features about this journal. The book itself is well made and well bound and the cardboard cover is thick and would survive life in a handbag. Essentially the journal is structured with a short overall section to capture why ‘wellness’ matters to you, and what helps you be at your best, and then a series of seven daily two page spreads followed by two page spread for weekly reflection. That’s a good structure, and it is interesting there’s no space for goal setting as in most journals of this type. My sense is they’ve done that to keep the stakes low and the pressure off, thus supporting wellbeing, and I think that’s a very emotionally intelligent approach. Overall I think the journalling prompts are helpful, and would support someone wishing to improve their wellbeing to do so.So why only four stars, not five? For three reasons:- on a minor point, I don’t think the cover is particularly attractive, although I welcome the reminder to remember mind, body and spirit.- more importantly, the paper quality is not what I would expect. It feels thick and smooth under your fingers, but sadly as you can see from the photos, there’s quite a lot of ghosting when used with a fountain pen, which is my strong preference… and that brings me to…- at £19.99 (as at 14/11/25), this is quite expensive, and at that price point, the paper should not ghost at all, in my view.All that said, I’m looking forward to using this journal, which I can see I will find very helpful.

    I’ve been meaning to start journalling for a while, but I simply don’t find the time. So when I spotted this I thought I’d give it a bash.The book is a beautiful quality, good solid hard back. Available in a variety of designs but I went for the wavy line one. All the contents are the same I believe, just a different aesthetic on the outside.This is a fairly hefty book with over 150 pages for daily logs. Each log covers two pages and you note things such as energy level, sleep quality, self care and gratitude.So in total there’s enough space to record about 80+ days worth of thoughts. There’s a “wellness bucket list” check page and admit 20 pages of lined paper for notes at the back.I was grateful to note the dates are left blank on each page so there is no pressure to do this continually. I know that’s where I would usually fall down and give up on this sort of thing.Interspersed with the daily logs are some beautifully positive affirmations.All in all, this is a gentle aid to encouraging wellness and personal development. I look forward to seeing how much of it I can fill in over the next few months.
